About Rhys

Rhys Campbell is an Arizona Attorney with extensive courtroom and litigation experience representing individuals and families in difficult and high stakes legal matters.

Licensed to practice in Arizona since 2018, Rhys has built his career around advocacy, trial work, and helping clients navigate complicated legal problems. His experience includes criminal defense, family law, dependency, child welfare matters, and civil litigation.

Before establishing Rhys S. Campbell Law, Rhys served as an attorney with the Coconino Public Defender’s Office and the Flagstaff City Prosecutor’s Office. He has handled a wide range of cases and has participated in approximately 35 jury trials, including felony matters and serious sex crimes.

Rhys has also represented the Hopi Tribe in matters involving the Indian Child Welfare Act, guardianships, adoptions, and termination of parental rights. His experience in these cases has given him a particular understanding of the complexity and importance of cases involving, children, families, and tribal interests.

In private practice, Rhys has represented clients in family law matters, and understands that legal problems are rarely just legal problems. They affect people’s families, finances, careers, and futures. His approach is straightforward: listen carefully, explain the options honestly, and provide clients with thoughtful, determined representation.

Rhys earned his undergraduate degree in History from the University of Akron and his law degree from the University of South Dakota. He is based in Flagstaff and represents clients throughout Northern Arizona.
